Others survived the shootings. He didn’t.

Almost 3,000 people were shot in Chicago in 2018. This was another violent day in the Windy City.

He was one of at least seven people to be shot that Monday – but he didn’t escape with his life like some of the others. He was the youngest among the three people who died in separate incidents, each stemming from gun violence on the South Side.

On Dec. 3, 2018, Chris J. Jones, 18, died of multiple gunshot wounds on South Normal Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
