His sibling was handling a rifle

Everyone had to start their chores early in his humble Amish family. This Tuesday morning was no exception. His mother was already outside when she sent him and his sibling upstairs to grab their hats and boots so that they could help her clean.

A lively 2-year-old, he rushed up the stairs, but only his small body would be brought back down.

On September 4, 2018, the toddler was accidentally shot and killed in his home in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, by his sibling who was handling a loaded rifle. His name was withheld to respect the privacy of his family.
