His tightly coiled and groomed hair clings to his scalp. A gray and white striped sweater and jeans complement his petite, dark blue shoes. He turns towards the camera, baring two minuscule rows of teeth.
Days before his third birthday, he entered a spare bedroom in which a houseguest was sleeping. A curious kid, he looked around for something that interested him.
Tye Ryder Samuel Stanley Flint, 2, died on Aug. 28, 2018, in Lansdowne, Maryland, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The houseguest, Shaquiel Malquan Griffin has been charged with involuntary manslaughter as well as other firearm charges.
