Simon Paul Huber

Age 15

Seymour, Indiana

A quiet soul who loved Legos

He was shy, yet made friends easily. He loved taking walks along the Ohio River, capturing moments through photography, and practicing patience by building with Legos.

He liked computer technology and was described as “a wonderful student” who was “an asset” to his high school.

Simon Paul Huber, 15, was shot in the head on Jan. 7, 2019, by his grandmother, who then shot and killed herself. He was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, and died the next day. Seymour Police Chief Bill Abbott said “medical issues played a role” in what happened.
