Jon-Marvin Revels Jacobs

Age 17

Shannon, North Carolina

He was on his way home

He was a good student at Hoke County High School, according to his best friend. He told his best friend’s father that he couldn’t wait to graduate high school. Now he won’t be able to.

While walking home from a party, gunfire broke out, hitting him and causing severe trauma to his upper body. He was found in a ditch the next morning, no longer able to do the things he enjoyed — playing video games, hunting, and wrestling with his nephews.

Jon-Marvin Revels Jacobs was shot and killed in Shannon, North Carolina, on Jan. 19, 2019. He was 17 years old.
