Quinten Keyvon Martin

Age 16

Covington, Georgia

A hero reunited with loved ones

His dreams flew high — he hoped to become an Air Force pilot. An honor roll student and  dedicated worker, he was “the type of kid you only wish you had,” his uncle said.

At 8 years old, he witnessed the murder of his mother and grandmother and saved his siblings from the same fate. He was a “protector.” To his family, he was a hero.

Quinten Keyvon Martin, 16, was shot and killed in Covington, Georgia, on Oct. 24, 2018, while returning home from his after-school job. Plans called for him to be buried beside his mother and grandmother.
