Two guns. One was a toy.
There were five of them that late Wednesday morning, five little boys — each no older than 12 — playing in the bedroom of a northeast Las Vegas apartment. The toddler’s mother was in the next room; a toy gun lay on the floor.
One 10-year-old might have brought a 9mm handgun to the apartment that day, police said.
He accidentally shot Messiah Logan, 2, in the forehead. After the gun went off, the little boy’s mother and a neighbor rushed into the room as the other three boys ran away. Messiah Logan died on May 30, 2018, at an apartment complex in Las Vegas.
