Jovani Ligurgo

Age 2

Raphine, Virginia

Amber Alert might have saved him

His time was split between his dad’s condo in Coram, New York, and his mom’s home in Long Island.

After his did didn’t return him one Tuesday afternoon, his mother called the police to request an Amber Alert. It wasn’t issued because the boy’s dad had no history of violence. Within hours, his father’s condo was on fire, with father and son missing along with a hunting rifle.

In her eyes, if an Amber Alert had been issued she might still have her boy. Jovani Ligurgo, 2, and his dad were both found shot on June 6, 2018 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, in what police believe was a murder-suicide.
