He wanted to become a doctor like his father. Though shy and timid, he still graduated with honors from the American Military Academy in Puerto Rico.

It happened in a gated affluent Florida community that the residents say is safe and stable.

Jene Rene Gonzalez, 17, was shot to death on Feb. 22, 2018, after an altercation with a homeowner. Police say he was attempting to rob an Avalon Park home in Orlando, Florida.
