A gunshot shocks a quiet neighborhood
His family was new to Triana, an Alabama town of just 500 people. "It's a very quiet neighborhood, a nice neighborhood,” his neighbor said.
His family kept to themselves; their neighbors didn’t know them well. It was a quiet Saturday morning and he was playing in his playpen near his parents on the ground floor of their home. They were struggling over a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver when it went off.
On August 25, 2018, 1-year-old Dante Parker died of a gunshot wound in Triana, Alabama.
