Christopher Charles Williams Jr.

Age 2

Houston, Texas

He was named for his father

The tiny buttons on his dark orange sweater were lovingly fastened, the top illuminated by his radiant, gap-toothed smile.

He was named after his father and affectionately called “Junior.” As his aunt recalls, the two were inseparable. Both would smile easily for pictures, his father wrapping his arm protectively around his son.

One Sunday afternoon, the boy picked up a 9-mm pistol from the couch in his home in Houston, Texas, pointed it at his head and pulled the trigger. Christopher Charles Williams Jr., 2, died on July 8, 2018 due to the accidental shooting. Both of his parents were home at the time.
