Carter L. Clemons

Age 6

Miamisburg, Ohio

He loved dinosaurs and his cousins

A first-grader at Richard Allen Elementary School, he earned stellar grades and loved to read, according to his mother, Di’Eshia Patterson. He collected books about dinosaurs, and could tell you what each type liked to eat. For Christmas, his mother bought him a toy indoraptor, his favorite dinosaur.

One of his favorite memories was going to a waterpark with his two cousins. Close in age, they were a tight trio.

On February 1, 2019, Carter L. Clemons, 6, was killed in Miamisburg, Ohio. He was shot by his mother’s boyfriend, who then died by suicide.
