Humane Society loses a dedicated volunteer

A jokester at heart, he took pride in making others smile. Whether it was during his shift at Wendy’s or while he was volunteering at the Adams County Humane Society, he prioritized kindness.

According to teachers, he was “a wonderful student” and was not only “bright,” but “respectful.” He had just finished high school, along with completing the Information Systems Technology program at the Ohio Valley Career and Technical Center.

On May 22, 2018, while at a friend’s home in Peebles, Ohio, Bladyn B. Skaggs, 17, was shot in the head. An argument between friends ended in death.
