Sean Bell

Age 18

Youngstown, Ohio

Reaching high. Shooting Hoops. Shot down.

He kept busy during the school year by shooting hoops at the Arlington Heights basketball court. In the summer months, he worked with a traveling carnival.

He had recently graduated from Chaney High School, where he was part of the Youngstown Scholars program. He was planning to attend Youngstown State University in the fall, becoming a first generation college student. On August 25th, students and friends gathered on the Arlington Heights Court to remember “a son who had just become a man.”

Sean Bell, 18, was shot in the back of the head in a car on August 21, 2018 on Oak Street in Youngstown, Ohio.
