He loved rap music and shoes. He had a passion for animals and for York peppermint patties. His family said he made everyone’s day brighter.

He had just graduated from high school and was studying psychology at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. On Twitter, he expressed hope that his dreams would someday come true.

Jacob Shedlock, 18, was listening to rap with a friend at home in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 23, 2018. The friend was juggling a gun and a marijuana cigarette when the gun went off. Shedlock was shot and killed. His friend was charged with involuntary manslaughter.
