He loved to play video games. He was getting ready to start his first day at T-ball practice.
Z’mari Tarrun Mitchell, 6 years old, was upstairs playing PlayStation when 31 bullets flew toward his home on May 5, 2018, in DeKalb County, Georgia. One bullet struck his head as he uttered the words, “What’s going on?” His mother slept by his side at the hospital for four days until he was removed from life support.
