A runner grieved by seven siblings

Born and raised in Davenport, Iowa, he was about to finish his sophomore year at Davenport Central High School. He was from a big family, having seven siblings.

For fun he ran track and cared about keeping physically fit. He also cared about making money and most recently worked at a local Hardee’s restaurant.

On May 19, 2018, Jovontia Antonio Jones, 16, was shot outside of a Hilltop liquor store in Davenport. He died at the University of Iowa Medical Center the next morning. His friends called him Jovi.
