William Livingston Bethel IV

Age 16

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

”Warm heart, gentle smile,” both gone

He rode his bike constantly, and loved “bikelife” and “ride outs.”

Off his bike, he stayed on the move. In the fall, he sported the navy blue and maroon on his school’s football team. In the winter, he dribbled a ball on the basketball court. He was on his school’s boxing team. The Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia Charter School statement praised his “warm heart and gentle smile.”

William Livingston Bethel IV, 16, was shot on April 1, 2018, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania., and died two days later.
