Robert Williams

Age 18

Bronx, New York

He touched lives even after death

He played basketball as a point guard in local tournaments. He had graduated from high school and was well known in the neighborhood. He looked forward to enrolling at SUNY Canton in August after taking a year off to save some money.

“He was just an energetic kid,” his mom, Kimberly Hatwood, told The New York Daily News.

“When you were around him, you were bound to … have a good time.”

Robert Williams, 18, accidentally shot himself in the chest on June 23, 2018. “Spread Positive Vibes Today Don't Let Any Negative Energy Bring You Down,” he’d written on Facebook just the day before.
