He can’t help with groceries anymore
He helped his neighbor bring in her groceries. He loved to play basketball. “He was real playful, but he was never disrespectful,” a neighbor said. He had four sisters; one was his twin.
One night, his 19-year-old sister heard her brother and some boys arguing. There was a gunshot. She found her brother lying in the hallway, blood pouring out of a bullet wound in his chest. At the hospital, 25 people tried to save him, his mother said. Oscar Johnson III, 14, died on May 2, 2018, in St. Louis, Missouri.
