Mason James Sandoval

Age 18

Clarksville, Tennessee

Smiled so much he got cramps

He was passionate about wrestling and lifting weights, even starting a YouTube channel about his daily workouts.

He lived by the motto, “If you want something in life, go and get it,” and strived to have a spiritus invictus, or “unconquerable spirit.” He loved his friends and family, and said that his girlfriend gave him cramps in his cheeks from making him smile so much.

On Aug. 21, 2018, Mason James Sandoval, 18, was accidentally shot in a home in Clarksville, Tennessee, when a handgun being moved into another room inadvertently discharged. His baby nephew carries part of his name in remembrance.
