Kyon L. Jackson

Age 15

Brooklyn, New York

He dreamed of house for mom

He was an only child. He grew up in the same building, and on the same playground, all of his life.

He worked at the local community center. Ever since he could walk, he loved basketball. He dreamed of playing in college. His aunt said, “He was full of life.” His goal was to earn enough money to move himself and his mom out of the projects and into a house.

At around 2:45 p.m., Kyon L. Jackson, 15, was shot several times close to the Bushwick Houses’ playground in Brooklyn, New York, on July 17, 2018. He died later that day.
