Keondurick Glasco Young

Age 16

Fort Worth, Texas

“He wasn’t going to make it”

He was a sophomore at Southwest High School. But by August 2018, he had dropped out.

One Tuesday night, he was arguing with two men in an OK Food Mart parking lot. “I knew he wasn’t going to make it by the way he was breathing,” said a critical care nurse, who heard a shot and rushed outside, offering the police assistance.

Keondurick Glasco Young, 16, was shot and killed in Fort Worth, Texas on Feb. 5, 2019. “It hurt me …  to think of his family not knowing he was taking his final breaths,” the nurse said.
