Young man leaves behind big family

He was a junior at Michigan City High School in Michigan City, Indiana. In his free time, he liked to play basketball and video games.

In a city with violent crime on the rise, he became another victim. He won’t attend his prom or walk across the stage at his graduation.

Justin Ameer Garner was found dead from a single gunshot wound to the head in his car on Jan. 16, 2019, apparently shot by someone else in the vehicle. He was 18 years old. He left behind a mother, father, two siblings, three half-siblings and a large extended family.
