It was at Oakdale Junior High School, in California’s central valley, that he met Madison, the girl who became his best friend. He moved to nearby Turlock for his junior year of high school. They started dating.
A skilled guitarist, he was in marching band until graduation day at Fusion Charter School. As he stood with Madison for a photo, he flashed his signature smile. Just 18, he already knew he wanted to marry her.
Johnny Wilson II was killed in a drive-by shooting in Turlock on Oct. 11, 2018, while standing in a relative’s front yard.
