Jamie Millen Dayquan Bright

Age 18

Charlotte, North Carolina

Everywhere, but afterwards, no longer there

In his community of Charlotte, North Carolina, he was everywhere: A linebacker for Harding High School, a member of the Y Achievers Mentoring program, an employee of the West Boulevard Neighborhood Coalition. He truly did it all.

He sought to be an “encourager, protector, and peacemaker.” His mom called him a “golden child.” He had close bonds with his siblings. Llast year he offered to take his sister to prom.

Jamie Millen Dayquan Bright, 18, was pronounced dead at a house on Clanton Road on July 15, 2018. He was shot by a close friend. They called it an accident.
