Jamal Jerod Booker

Age 18

Fort Pierce, Florida

He joined the ones before him

His father passed away first. After, he spent time with his loving mother and stepfather, and his two best friends. They called him “Jigga.”

He was a sports fan — mainly football and wrestling. At 11:49 PM, on New Year’s Day, he was discovered unconscious in a parking lot.

Jamal Jerod Booker, 18, was shot on Jan. 1, 2019 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He died three days later. “I want you to know God will never fail,” his great aunt wrote to his mother. “He chose Jamal to join the other ones that (have) gone on before us.”
