He was a rapper. He told his mother that if he made it, he was going to buy her a big house.
On Nov. 27, 2018, he arrived along with a few other men in a red car at an apartment complex in Columbus, Ohio. They planned to rob Matthew Martin, a resident there.
Duvon Mathews, 17, was shot during the robbery. He was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and died the next day. Mathews also shot Martin, who suffered a head wound but survived.
