Dezmen Anthony Jones

Age 15

York, Pennsylvania

Friends say, “Ride in Peace, Dez”

He received his first bicycle in preschool.

He was the boy who amazed an entire neighborhood in York with his wheelies and tricks. When he wasn’t riding bikes, he was fixing them. He shared his love of riding with other inner-city kids through an organization called Pedal 4 Peace.

On Sept. 26, 2018, Dezmen Anthony Jones, 15, took his last ride in life. He was killed in a double shooting on West Princess Street in York, Pennsylvania. Pedal 4 Peace dedicated their second annual Ride Against Violence to him as friends, family and neighbors rode bicycles to honor his memory, saying “Ride In Peace, Dez.”
