She planned on entering the military. Before graduating from the George Washington Carver High School in 2018, she was a part of the Junior ROTC Program and exceeded in track.

She was a charming woman with ambitious goals. She had three weeks left of classes at the First Step Health Agency before accomplishing her aspiration to become a medical assistant.

But ambition would come to an end on the Saturday night she stepped out of her ex-boyfriend’s car screaming for help. On Sept. 22, 2018, Destinee Shante Virgin, 18, died after her ex-boyfriend allegedly shot her multiple times in Columbus, Georgia.
