Darius Marcel Boone

Age 14

Fort Wayne, Indiana

An infectious laugh silenced by violence

He was a talented videographer and dancer; a comedian known for telling jokes that brought people to tears.

His family – parents and stepparents, as well as seven siblings – knew him as someone who had “the courage to be adventurous and take life by the horns.” They loved his infectious laugh.

Darius Marcel Boone, 14, was one of two victims involved in an accidental shooting in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on April 15, 2018. He died in the hospital the next day from a gunshot wound to the head.
