Darian Darnell Bolden

Age 18

Houston, Texas

Twelve shots. 100 compressions. One death.

His mother worried what would happen to him while he was out on the street. He was a recent high school graduate, a football player raised to love God. He started hanging out with “the wrong crew,” his mother said.

On Oct. 23, 2018, he was in a parking lot at an apartment complex, running away from an assailant. A resident who was a firefighter rushed out after hearing “more than 12” gunshots and performed 100 chest compressions to save his life.

But it didn’t work. Darian Darnell Bolden, 18, died at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
