He was a dedicated rapper, accomplished student and Chicago Bears fan. On Feb. 25, he ate dinner with his family. Afterward, friends picked him up. His mother had a bad feeling: “He didn’t want to go.”
At approximately 1 a.m. the next day, she tried to contact her son; there was no response. Later that morning, a woman called 911 to report a man lying on his back in front of a neighbor's house at 1914 E. Fayette St. in Syracuse, New York.
Daquarious Anthony Powell, 18, was shot and killed on Feb. 25, 2018.
