Damien Claridy

Age 18

Baltimore, Maryland

An athlete who would never graduate

His Facebook biography still reads “young & living.” His passion was football, but he also wrestled, played lacrosse, basketball and video games.

He was a senior at Excel Academy at Francis M. Wood Alternative High School, a public high school in Baltimore. He was expected to graduate in June.

Damien Claridy, 18, never got that diploma. At 5:32 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2018, police officers were called to the 400 block of Gold Street in West Baltimore, Maryland. They found Claridy there with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
