Music producer inspired his last student
At the Oakland-based youth organization YR Media, he taught music production and added his own style to beats and mixtapes, including to a Remix Your Life project called “The Come Up.” One of pieces ended up on the program’s top lists of 2016.
The California High School senior in San Ramon, California, helped students “evolve how they see themselves as producers,” said one of the sound engineers who worked with him.
On Dec. 4, 2018, Damani Chadly, 17, was shot multiple times while in a car in Fremont, California.
