He had a signature catchphrase that he was known for: “Don’t panic.” He wanted to go to college and play in the NBA.

His mother said he always “protected people”. She called him a “lovely person.” One of his teachers called him a “blessing.”

Dalvin Brown, 18, was shot and killed on Sept. 11, 2018 outside of Canyon Springs High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was a student. The shooting took place during after-school activities by the baseball field. He was shot in his chest.
