Cody Worden

Age 13

Silver Lake, Oregon

“You never get over it – ever”

A straight-A, eighth-grade student, he was remembered as “popular, happy” by the principal and superintendent of North Lake School. He made people laugh. He was “a great young man.”

An avid athlete, he was a wrestler, football player and Little Leaguer. And, on the first day of summer break, he was with his friend.

Cody Worden, 13, was shot in the chest by his friend on June 7, 2018, in Silver Lake, Oregon. He died at the scene. Said his principal: “You never get over it — ever.”
