Christian Riley Garcia

Age 15

Santa Fe, Texas

He was a hero without hesitation

Even as a freshman he knew he wanted to join the Army and serve his country. He was a devout member of Crosby Church, and loved his family, board games and cake.

He spent a lot of time outside, hunting, fishing and playing football. He had recently received his boating license.

On May 18, 2018, a gunman opened fire on Santa Fe High School in Texas during first period. Without hesitation, Christian Riley Garcia, 15, blocked the door of an art classroom so students could escape through a back exit. He was shot and killed protecting his classmates.
