Candis Breanne Beckemeyer

Age 15

Bakersfield, California

Sixteen balloons were never blown up

Her sass and stubbornness would have defined the strong woman she was sure to become. She loved dancing and music as well as spending time with family and friends.

She regularly impacted others’ lives and dreamed of becoming a nurse. She had a passion for young children and filled her days with caring for the youngest in her family. She never missed school events or church camp.

Candis Breanne Beckemeyer, 15, attended Shafter High School in Bakersfield, California. On April 22, 2018, just two days before her 16th birthday, she was shot and killed in the backyard of a local house party.
