He loved to dance and take care of his brothers and sisters. He was a sophomore at David W. Butler High School. On a Monday morning, a gunshot rang through a crowded hallway.

On Oct. 29, 2018, Bobby McKeithen III, 16, was shot in the back by a classmate in Matthews, North Carolina, with a stolen .380 pistol.
