Arianna Leigh Talmage

Age 6

Grand Forks, North Dakota

Struggling family. No school. Troubled home.

Six years old, she loved to dance and to create figures with Play-Doh. A small pink bicycle, perhaps the one she liked to ride, lay outside their home.

Her family had just moved into town. Her mother was struggling to keep up with medical bills. Dispatched because the children had not attended school, a school resource officer found them during a welfare check.

On May 3, 2018 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Arianna Leigh Talmage’s mother shot and killed her and two brothers in their sleep. She committed suicide soon after.
