Amonn Sandoval

Age 16

Tucson, Arizona

His legacy lives on the wall

His name on the giant white banner stretches out across a brick wall inside Palo Verde High School. Classmates filled the surrounding space with notes and signatures.

His best friend, 19-year-old Junior Collins, called him “Tito.” “He was just a peaceful person, a talented person and the most athletic person I knew. He was all about peace and love,” Collins told KVOA.

Amonn Sandoval, 16, was with another boy when they met four males at Lakeside Park in Tucson, Arizona, on Nov. 8, 2018. Following a brief conversation, a shootout occurred between the two groups, leaving Amonn and two others dead.
