Xavian Davis

Age 16

Jacksonville, Florida

Students wore red in his honor

He posed in front of a Chevy Malibu Classic in white Nike shoes, ripped jeans and a red, white and blue windbreaker with a crown pendant dangling from his gold necklace.

This is the image of him that went public. Many of his peers at Atlantic Coast High School had their own memories of him. “He was a great person, and he made everyone laugh,” a student in his history class said.

Xavian Davis, 16, was shot outside of his home at the Baymeadows Apartments in Jacksonville, Florida, on Jan. 31, 2019. Students at his school wore red clothes on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 to honor Xavian.
