Ty'ron Anthony Phelps

Age 15

Akron, Ohio

A hard-working student, loved by peers

When he was younger, he played basketball at his grandmother’s house, but the hobbies of his childhood did little to save him from the crime that surrounded him as he grew older.

He’s been described as funny and loving by his peers. One of his teachers at school recalled that he was a hard-working student who always tried his best to stay out of trouble.

Ty'ron Anthony Phelps, 15, was killed on July 15, 2018, in the streets of Akron, Ohio. Of the three teens shot, he was the only one to lose his life.
