Trevon Russell

Age 16

Saint Louis, Missouri

Almost a man, on the swings

While his parents worked, he often went to his favorite park and sat on the swings to kill time till they were through.

His family described the 16-year-old living with autism as a fun-loving teenager with an eager smile.

Trevon Russell was shot multiple times on the afternoon of Aug. 2, 2018, at Mount Pleasant Park in St. Louis, Missouri. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. His father was at work when it happened. “That’s my only son, I’ll never have another first-born son,” his father said. “He was almost a man.”
