Stachonn Robert Nance Sr.

Age 18

Indianapolis, Indiana

Young father taken by gun violence

He had a caring mother, seven brothers and six sisters. When he had a baby son, he lovingly passed on his own name.

His friends affectionately nicknamed him “Red Pop,” after the strawberry cream soda brand. His school principal said that “he warmed every classroom he entered with a smile.” He was “happy and adored by his family.”

On April 23, 2018, Stachonn Robert Nance Sr., 18, was shot in Indianapolis and died instantly.
