Friday night, and a fatal dispute

A "funny and considerate" teen with a brilliant smile, he was nicknamed ‘Lumpy Gee’ by his mother and ‘Nori Pagori’ by his grandma. He liked music, including artists Young Money, Drake, Lil Wayne and Nirvana.

He also liked movies: “Next Friday,” “Friday After Next” and “Friday the 13th” were his favorites.

One Friday night in south Minneapolis, shots rang out but police couldn’t find a victim. Several minutes later, they did: Norea Stephon Wilford, 18, showed up at Hennepin County Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the chest. He died there; police confirmed he was the victim they’d sought.
