Nathaniel Ethan Holder

Age 16

Tarrant, Alabama

Small town boy, one big laugh

He loved everyone in his tiny town of Tarrant, Alabama. His laughter spilled onto street corners and out of coffee shops, and his smile lit up dimly lit diners and bustling football stadiums.

He was just a “very loyal, loving, charismatic, humorous person,” a friend would later remark.

On July 8, 2018, Nathaniel Ethan Holder, 16, got into a disagreement with an acquaintance on Alabama Street. Mid-argument, the man pulled out a gun and shot the George Washington Carver High School student in the chest. He was pronounced dead less than 24 hours later.
