A comedian takes his last ride

He was the comedian of the family. He loved to make people laugh. “He was fun and funny,” his cousin said. “He always taught me to do better in life.”

He loved going on late-night bike rides and losing himself under the city lights, his aunt, Ariel D. Freeman, told The Trace. Above all, he loved his family, and they loved him back. “Just looking at these words wishing you can type them again,” his aunt commented on his old Facebook post. “I love you baby boy.”

On October 17, 2018, Nadarius Freeman, 16,  was shot to death on his bicycle around 7 p.m. in Greenville, Mississippi. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Greenville Police.
