His sister called him a “Momma’s boy.”

She said he liked to rap, sing, and play sports. He loved music, and enjoyed a wide-ranging catalog of artists from Willie Hutch to Fetty Wap. He kept his family and friends entertained. He was a prankster who loved to see others smile.

On November 14, 2018, Monterio Joiner was shot and killed in Whitehaven, Tennessee, at the  Peppertree Apartments complex where he lived.
